BEST OF FRANCE 2015 – 500,000 VISITORS – NEW YORK – TIMES SQUARE

On September 26-27, 2015, BEST OF FRANCE transformed Times Square and Broadway in a corner of France to celebrate “all things French”. Over 120 exhibitors showcased France’s savoir-faire in various fields: from tourism to gastronomy, from French Tech to Technology, from Art & Culture to craft, from Fashion & Beauty to Lifestyle.

Inaugurated by French foreign minister Laurent Fabius and visited by French President Francois Holland, BEST OF FRANCE was supported by numerous French leading companies including Air France USA, Ariane Space World, AXA Americas, Bel, Cuisine Solutions, Dassault Falcon Jet, Thalès, JCDecaux, L’Oréal, Lactalis, RATP Dev, Valrhona/Alouette cheeses, Zannier Group…

The free entrance event gathered over 500.000 visitors who felt they had traveled and discovered the treasures of France, all without leaving the city. The main stage featured live performances by French artists including the famous French crooner Danny Brillant and the dancers of the Moulin Rouge (for the first time in NYC).

A giant runway offered multiple fashion shows to the public while the dedicated gastronomy stage hosted regular demos by world-famous chefs such as Christian Tetedoie (worldwide president of Maitres Cuisiniers de France) or Eric Kayser.

Visitors could also attend two grand wine tastings (accompanied by delicious buffets of charcuterie, cheeses and desserts) presented by NYC’s top sommeliers and featuring over 100 premium chateaux from all of the regions of France at the Axa Center.
